Requirements

Below is a list of requirements and frequently asked questions. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions or concerns.

Age Requirements:

To rent a jet ski, you must be at least 18 years old; however, 16 and 17-year-olds can drive solo but will require a legal guardian to be present to rent the watercraft and sign liability forms. Children 14 & 15 are allowed to drive the watercraft only with an 18+ on board. Children under the age of 14 are allowed as passengers, but not allowed to drive. The minimum age for children to ride as passengers is 5 years old, and they must weigh at least 35 pounds.

Physical Requirements:

All participants must be able to swim — no exceptions.

The weight limit is 400 pounds total per ski. The more weight, the more the jet skis tip.

Participants should be physically strong enough and capable to climb back on the jet ski without assistance in the event they fall off. Yes, you will probably end up in the water at some point! This is comparable to climbing out of a pool without a ladder. If you have any doubt in your ability to do this, please do not get on the jet skis.

Guest should consider their physical abilities, fitness level, and medical history before getting on the jet ski. Guest with previous, neck, back, leg injuries, cardiac conditions, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, or other heart or respiratory issues should take particular caution when selecting this activity and consult a physician before participating. SCJSR LLC is not liable for any injuries you may take on while on the jet skis.

Reservations vs. Walk-Ins:

Reservations are highly recommended. We welcome walk-ins, but cannot always accommodate.

Identification:

Renters/drivers must present a valid ID at check-in. We hold your ID until you return from your rental. Passenger IDs are not required.

Payment & Tax:

Taxes are an additional 3% of the posted rates and apply to all rentals. Payment can be made with any major credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express) or cash. All credit card transactions are subject to an additional 3% fee, so bring cash if you would like to save 3%.

Rain Policy:

If it is raining at the time of your rental, you are not charged a cancellation fee and we do our best to reschedule for a time that works for you. If it begins raining during your rental and you do not receive your whole time on the water, we prorate your payment for how long you were out. We do not cancel reservations based on a forecast. However, if a complete washout is forecasted (raining 70% or more) for the entire day, we may cancel all reservations for the day. We contact you if this happens.

Cancellation:

We have a 24-hour cancellation policy for all reservations. Reservations must be canceled at least 24 hours before rental time to receive a full refund. Reservations canceled within 24 hours prior to their rental time and no shows (for any reason) are charged 50% of their reservation.  The reason for our policy is that once we have held that spot for you, we are then turning away customers who could have filled your slot as we are usually sold out most days.  We understand that life happens and things come up, and we will do our best to work with you.  If you need to re-schedule or cancel, please call us ASAP. Don’t wait until your rental time to call and cancel or re-schedule!
